Intel rencananya mengeluarkan 2 procesor base Yorkfield 45nm tipe quad core, yaitu Intel Q9650 dan Q9400. Alasannya, menyangkut harga yang dapat diterima pasar. Perkiraan keluar sekitar kuartal 3 nanti.
Untuk mudahnya mengenal procesor Intel, kode produk Q9x50 memiliki 12MB cache L2, sedangkan Q9X000 hanya memiliki 6MB cache L2. Core 2 Quad Q9650, 3Ghz, 1333Mhz akan dijual $525.
Core 2 Quad Q9400, 2.66Ghz, 1.333Mhz akan berharga $268.
Spesifikasinya sama seperti Q9450, hanya Q9400 berbeda kapasitas L2 cache yang dipotong separuh dibandingkan Q9450. Tetapi ini baru perkiraan, seperti biasa, Intel bisa saja merubah rencana bila diperlukan.

Some, other Intel processors could see the day in 2008 but there is no information yet on their price or launch dates. Amongst them, will be the Core 2 Q9650 (3.0 GHz, 12 MB of L2 cache, TDP of 95W), the Q9400 (2.66 GHz, 6 MB of L2 cache, TDP of 95W), and the E8600 (3.33 GHz, 6 MB of L2 cache, TDP of 65W).
